*Obituary
Jettie Mae Lunday, loving wife, mother, and grandmother will be missed, but never forgotten. On July 16, 2019, at the age of 90 years old, Jettie left her earthly home in McKinney, Texas to live in her new heavenly home, prepared by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her mother Josie Mills, father Olen Rowe, and brother Johnny Rowe. She is survived by her husband Edgar Lunday, her two children, David Lunday and Michael Lunday; as well as her two grandchildren, Ethan Lunday and Makayla Lunday.

A life-long Texas resident, Jettie was born March 2, 1929, and attended high school at Forest High, in Dallas, Texas. She met her husband Edgar Lunday at work, and their office romance lead to marriage, in 1963. Jettie was an active member of several churches during her life, including: First Assembly of God, Oak Cliff Assembly of God, Urban Park Assembly of God, and Genesis Assembly of God. She spent her 42 year career working as a secretary and office administrator for the Federal Government, in several departments, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Jettie thoroughly enjoyed traveling, which led her and her husband to purchase a travel trailer in the 1970’s, which they used to visit every state in the continental United States, at least once. Jettie especially loved taking vacations on ocean cruises, and over the years, she and her husband, along with occasional other family members went on 37 cruises. Jettie and her husband traveled to other countries, throughout the years, including: England, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bermuda, and Canada. Additionally, she had a tremendous love for highly scenic locations, and made several trips to Colorado, as well as six different trips to the Hawaiian Islands.

Jettie has now embarked on her final trip - to the ultimate scenic location. Only this trip will not be a vacation, but an eternal destination, in heaven.
