Gloria Maria Medina Marrero, 95, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023 at her home in Denton, Texas. She was born on May 24, 1927, in Ciales, Puerto Rico. Daughter of Angel Luis Marrero and Carmen Laura Nunez. Gloria started her working career as an X-Ray Technician at the San Jose Hospital in Puerto Rico.

No matter where Gloria went she would instantly meet new friends; she was very personable and memorable. Always expressing kindness, generosity and servanthood. She was an exemplary daughter who cared for her own mothe rin he rlast days and became mother to her little brothers and sisters. Gloria really enjoyed the simple things, the loving relationship she had with her six children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her rose garden, cooking, keeping an impeccable house, playing dominoes, watching Family Feud but mostly, as a devoted Catholic, praying constantly for her family.

Gloria was preceded in death by the love of her life and father of her children, Alberto Medina Nieves. She was a loving mother to her children; Gloria Saldivar and her husband, Rene; Christina Alamo-Medina and her husband, Juan Manuel; Olga Maria Jackson and her husband, Anthony; Carmen Villa and her husband, Armando; her predeceased children Vivian Molina and Albert Medina Jr. She was the dear "Granny" of 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
