Ruth "Elisabeth" Bennett was a loving Mother, "Nannie", and Great-Nannie. She passed away on Thursday February 23rd, 2023 at the age of 86.

Elisabeth was one of 5 children born to James and Edithia West in Finedon, Northamptonshire, England on November 2nd, 1936. She spent her working days in hospitality, child and elder-care.

She moved to New York after meeting her future husband, Marc Bennett. They wed on August 27th, 1962.

Elisabeth was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Tavan and Varon. She is survived by her children Dejah Bennett, Guion Andrew Bennett and his wife Karen Bennett.

She loved being a Nannie (English Grandma) to 4 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and was looking forward to the birth of her second great grandchild arriving this Spring. She is also survived by friends in both Texas and Florida.

Elisabeth will be best remembered for her love of reading and writing, especially poetry. She could always be found with a book and a pen in her hand. Elisabeth loved to write personalized poems for her loved ones and to perform poetry. She was especially proud of getting her book "From England to America" published which features her mother's stories and her own.

Elisabeth will be dearly missed by those blessed to have known her. A small service will be held to celebrate her life.
