She was predeceased by her husband Henry "Hank" Browning and brother Anthony Marinacci of Chester, PA. Her survivors include her daughter Marcy Browning and granddaughter Lauren of Georgetown, son Peter Browning of Austin, Sister Evelyn Brown and husband Bill. Phyllis was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduation from Upper Darby PA High School, she received her teaching degree from West Chester Teachers College. While there she met and married Hank Browning, an Air Force officer. After being transferred back to the states, she continued teaching in elementary schools. Upon her retirement from teaching, Phyllis turned to breeding Arabian horses. She and her husband Hank established a worldwide reputation breeding champion Arabian horses. The "Browning bred Arabians" were recognized for their excellence as was Phyllis for the kind, generous and sincere relationships she established during this time.
