She traveled to Brazil with Roy in 1975-76, then they landed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where they stayed until 1986. Joyce never met a stranger and most people became her friend. She had many, many friends in lots of places, like Jimmie, Effie, Lynne, and she was my best friend. Joyce came to visit me when I lived in Holland a short time and we visited London together. She visited the Bahamas with Lynne. Travel, writing and family were her second loves, after Jesus. She died in Grand Junction, Colorado but is buried in Dad's family plot in Snyder, Texas.
