William Andrew "Bill" Turner, 92, of Hereford died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, Hereford.

Bill Turner, 92, a longtime Hereford resident died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Hereford Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 411 E 6th Street, Hereford. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
Bill was born January 28, 1921 in Blanket, Texas, to Arthur and Sally (Newton) Turner. He married Doris (Stayton) Turner on October 13, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. Bill moved to Hereford in 1951 from Littlefield. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Temple Baptist Church. Bill loved his Lord and family. He loved people in general and did not know a stranger. He liked to play dominoes, drink coffee with his buddies, watch the Atlanta Braves baseball team, garden, and watch the local kids play ball. He was always a happy man. He liked to sing and at times he could be heard singing "Oklahoma". Bill loved his dogs, Rex, his childhood friend and Lady, his last dog.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris of 39 years, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include 1 son, Wendell Turner and wife Beverly of Amarillo, 3 daughters, Shirley McKee and husband Patrick of Ft.Worth, Devita Coker and husband Jerry of Amarillo, Dorislene Artho and husband Arnold of Hereford, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
