SALLISAW, Okla. - Lawrence J. Dirks, 86, formerly of Hereford, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in McAlester.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Restlawn Cemetery in Hereford with Tad Rhodes officiating. Arrangements are by Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
Mr. Dirks was born May 13, 1921, in Castro County, Texas, to Bill and Catherine Seurer Dirks. He was the owner/operator of Dirks Drilling in Hereford.
Survivors include a daughter, Kayleen Stallings of Sallisaw; a son, Billy Gene Dirks of Hereford; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Dirks of Canyon, Texas.
