Mr. Maurice Allen "M.A." Krantz, 67, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2013. He was born Feb. 25, 1946, to Mr. Audie Krantz and Mrs. Mable Whatley Krantz.

M.A. served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Mr. Krantz also worked for the Winnsboro Police Department as a sergeant, and was a former pastor of the Santa Fe Family Worship Center. M.A. married Mrs. Sally Ann Krantz on June 1, 1972, and she preceded him in death on May 13, 2008. M.A. currently attended the Harmony Assembly of God in Winnsboro, and on July 31, 2010, he married the former Cindy Vaught.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Krantz, of Winnsboro; mother, Mable Thompson, of Winnsboro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Mark Onley, of Winnsboro, and Jody and Carl Mathison, of Winnsboro; stepdaughter, Heather Vaught Sager; stepgranddaughter, Emma Sager; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Beaty Funeral Home, 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, with Dr. Jim Oxendine and the Revs. James Sellers and Tim Gregory officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Franklin County.
Pallbearers will be Carl Mathison, David Henry, Mark Onley, Marcus Keith and Phil Sumrow. Honorary pallbearers will be agents from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
