Mrs. Baker was born to Joseph Hopson and Mattie Jewell Paige Hopson. She married George Baker on Dec. 31, 1964 in Vernon.
She worked for Allsup's Convenience Store for 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Vernon Baptist Mission.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Baker.She is survived by daughter, four sons, 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
