Frank was born Monday, December 5, 1927 in Crowell, Texas. He was the son of the late Frank VaneK and the late Tinnie Halencek Vanek.
He married Alice Bernette Richter on July 17, 1949 in Vernon. She preceded him in death October 16, 2007. He had lived in Vernon all of his life. He served in the US Navy during WWII as Mine Sweeper in Germany and Japan. He retired from Wright Brand Foods as Foreman in 1992. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by one son Larry Vanek in 1974, Two Brothers Johnny Slovak, Jerry Slovak and One Sister Shirley Guillory.
Pallbearers will be Mike Perez, Anthony Jares, Danny Davis, and Mike Craighead.
