Graveside services for Willie Newton, 87, of Kilgore will be 4 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Deacon Dennis Gilchrist officiating. Mrs. Newton died Monday, April 10, 2006 in Kilgore, Texas.
She was born Oct.14, 1918 in Lindale, Texas. Mrs. Newton graduated Lindale High School. She lived in Kentucky 16 years before settling in New London in 1966. She was a seamstress for many years including working for Kilgore Manufacturing. Mrs. Newton was a Baptist who knew Jesus. She was a loving mother who had a big heart.
Mrs. Newton is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Ruby Beard of Ben Wheeler; two daughters, Louise Thompson of Kilgore, Jo Ann and her husband, David Hawkins of Kilgore; one sister, Mary Ellen Jenkins of CA; numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
