HEREFORD - Henry Solomon, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tracy Dunn-Noland officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, north of Hereford, by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Solomon was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Hall County, the son of Emmett and Velma Solomon. He married Betty Jo Mitchell in 1947 at Memphis and had been a farmer in Hereford for more than 43 years.
Mr. Solomon was a veteran, having served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member and very active in the Fellowship of Believers Church and loved to play dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Betty Jean Stanford.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Solomon and wife, Anna, of Hereford and Craig Solomon and wife, Judy, of Vega; two daughters, Cheryl Betzen and husband, Tom, of Hereford and Suzanne Kennedy and husband, Pat, of Yoakum; two brothers, Garland Solomon and wife, Novelle, of Hereford and Emmett Solomon and wife, Jan, of Huntsville; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
