HEREFORD - Bonnie Hamilton, 84, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, in Amarillo.
Mrs. Hamilton was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Hayti, Mo., to Phillip and Frances Miller. She married Joe L. Hamilton on Dec. 2, 1945, in Hereford. Mrs. Hamilton taught the 3- and 4-year-olds in Sunday school at the Methodist Church for more than 62 years and sang in the church choir for more than 40 years.
The family would like to thank the Juniper 1 Staff at Ware Memorial Care Center in Amarillo for the excellent and loving care they gave Mrs. Hamilton for the past three months.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Hamilton and a son, John David Hamilton.
Survivors include a son, Paul Hamilton and wife Jeri of Bushland; a daughter, Joellen Hamilton of Cookeville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Michele Shaw and husband Jeff of New Castle, Del., Michael Hamilton and special friend Kristy Browder of Las Vegas, Gary Hamilton and wife Amy of Amarillo, Lauren Jo Hamilton of Bushland and Robert Hamilton of Fort Worth; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Keith Fields of Wichita Falls, Ashley Kristen Shaw of New Castle, Colten Roan Hamilton and Wyatt James Mcintire, both of Amarillo, and Seth Orion Hamilton of Fort Worth.
