Ruby Owen Carter Roden, 84, of Stephenville passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 12th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dale Cartwright officiating.
Burial will follow at West End Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Ruby was born on April 8, 1929 in Erath County to the late Fred L. and Winnie Mae South Owen. Ruby was a homemaker, a member of the Central Baptist Church in Crockett, and had lived most of her life in Erath County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Carter in 1952.

Ruby is survived by 2 daughters, Doris and husband Tommy Hutto of Crockett, Linda and husband Donnie Graves of Palo Pinto County; 2 brothers, John Owen of Comanche, A.B. "Bunny" and wife Sharon Owen of Stephenville; 2 grandchildren, Tommy and wife Shena Hutto of Fort Worth and Ronnie Reed, Jr. of Kerrville; and 2 great grandchildren, Gregory Hutto and Jeffery Hutto; several nieces and nephews and family and friends.
