Services for Opal Mozell Garcia, 92, Kilgore, will be at 11:00 am, Friday, July 18, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Reverend James Boatman. Burial will be in the Overton City Cemetery.
Opal Mozell Garcia was born August 12, 1921 and passed from this life on July 16, 2014 in Henderson. She was an avid member of the First Pentecostal Church of Kilgore. Opal loved the Lord first and foremost and her loving family was her greatest attribute, second only to her faith in God. She was a mother to all. There wasn't a child Opal wouldn't love and raise as her own. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Bennett Garcia, and daughters, Libby, Jeanie and Monteray.
She leaves behind three sons, Ben, James, and Johnny; one daughter, Judy and her baby Debbie; brother, Marion L. Charlton; along with numerous grandchildren, and both great and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, Friday, prior to the graveside service.
