Lillie Bell(e) Kaufman was born Oct. 29, 1867 in Missouri to parents Tennessee Paralee "Tennie" Price and Michael Kaufman. She came to Cass Co., Texas about 1870, with her widowed mother Tennie. On Jul. 20, 1880, Lillie married Bradford Monroe Stevens (1858-1910) in Cass County and together they had four sons and two daughters, all born in Cass County. After the death of her husband Bradford, Lillie married widower Thomas Richard "Tom" Harkrider (1883-1941)and remained in the Hughes Springs area until her death Aug 11, 1940. She is buried alongside other family members in the Stevens plot in Hughes Springs Cemetery.
