Smith on July 13, 1918 in Titus County, Texas, (5) Robert Lee Burns on November 29, 1928 in Mount Vernon, Franklin County, Texas (Robert Burns & Zora divorced and then remarried July 6, 1946 in Franklin County, Texas) (6) G. T. Conner on October 13, 1951 in Mount Vernon, Franklin County, Texas, and (7) William C. Davis on March 7, 1955 in Mount Vernon, Franklin County, Texas.


Services Held For Mrs. Davis -

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Zora Getsie Davis of Saltillo Wednesday, June 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Saltillo with Rev. W. D. Peterson officiating. Interment was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis, 79, passed away June 21 in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1892 in Titus County, the daughter of J. C. Buchannan and the former Sue Hendrix. She was married to the late William C. Davis. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Hayes of Saltillo and Mrs. T. H. Neal of Dallas; four sons, Buck Devall of Saltillo; J. C. Smith of Sulphur Springs; Verlon Wilson of Lufkin, and Billy Burns of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. N. N. Alford of Grand Prairie and Mrs. May Griggs of Goodlett; two brothers, Bobby Buchannan and Tommy Buchannan, both of Mt. Pleasant; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. W. Bell, Harold White, John David Whitten, Robert Kuhl, Paul Burkett. and Carl Byrd.
