Homer was born in Comanche County TX on December 27, 1917 to Wallace and Pearl Trimble. He married Dorothy Hancock on November 4, 1949. She preceded him in death April 10, 2006. He married Melissa Knowles on April 10, 2009. Homer was a proud member of Cottonwood Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army and World War II; he was also a Mason and a member of The Demolay.

Survivors include five children, Kenneth Trimble of Palo Pinto Lake TX, Jerry Trimble of Sulphur Springs TX, Richard Trimble of Ben Wheeler TX, Jan Frey of Plano TX, and Becky Trimble-Valenzuela of Temple TX; two sisters Frankie Hudson and Margie Gable both of Dallas TX; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two of his grandchildren.

Dorothy Trimble, 83, passed away Monday, April 10, 2006, at her residence. She lived in Erath County, TX, for the past six years. She formerly lived many years raising her family in Plano, TX and also several years in East Texas and Mineral Wells, TX.

She was born to Elmer & Myrtle (Wingard) Hancock on September 17, 1922, at Ft. Worth, TX. She was married to Homer G. Trimble on November 4, 1949, in Ft. Worth, TX. She was a technician for Texas Instruments and during her later years, she traveled to Yellowstone and worked at Hamilton Stores.

Survivors include her husband: Homer G. Trimble of Erath County, TX; one son: Richard Trimble of Ben Wheeler, TX; two daughters: Jan Frey of Plano, TX and Becky Trimble of Erath County, TX; two step-sons: Kenneth Trimble of Palo Pinto Lake, TX and Jerry Trimble of Sulphur Springs, TX; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many loving family and friends.
