Nadyne was born in a log cabin at Haskell to Francis Marion Dunlap and Ada Davidson. After the death of her mother in 1930, the family moved to Edna Hill to be close to her mother's family.
It was at Edna Hill that Nadyne developed the interest that became a passion, Education. Although she was 48 before she received her masters degree and began to teach. Her speciality was Special Education, certified in speech and hearing therapy, couseling and training.
Nadyne was preceeded in death by her two husbands, Johnny Alford and Walton Knight and a brother, Francis Marion Dunlap II.
Survivors include her 2 sons; John R. Alford of Waxahachie, William Dunlap Alford of Cisco; a daughter, Pennie Fields of Cisco; 2 brothers, Bernard & Mike Dunlap, both of Spring, TX; 2 sisters, Brenda Schiffer & Betty Boyd, both of Pearland, TX; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
