Graveside rites for William O. Allen, 63, who died Thursday in a Lubbock, Texas, hospital were held at 2 p.m. Sunday August 17 in Electra Memorial Park.

The Rev. Tom Haryell, pastor of First Pentecostal Church, officiated. Burial was held under the direction of James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Saturday in Lubbock.

Born Feb. 9, 1912, in Tennessee, he was a seed foreman for Lubbock Cotton Gin and Oil Mill and had lived in Lubbock the past 13 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie of Lubbock; three daughters, Mrs. Ronnie Harvey of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Sue Smith of Commerce, Texas, and Mrs. Patsy Ann Brown of Bowie, Texas; one brother Tommy Allen of Electra; two half-sisters, Mrs. Naomi Smith of Keller, Texas, and Mrs. Hazel Parker of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren._

Mattie Castle Allen, 90, died Saturday, January 17, 1998 in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services were held 4 p.m. Monday, January 19 in Electra Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Webb, pastor of Hillside Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Allen was born October 19, 1917 in Fannin County, Texas. She and W.O. Allen were married Dec 2, 1935 in Bonham, Texas. He died in 1975. She was a retired clerk for the American Veterans Association. She was a Pentecostal and had lived in Electra for 65 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Robbie Snow of Wichita Falls, Sue Smith of Commerce, Texas and Patsy Jeffries of Tyler, Texas; five brothers, Willie "Bill" Castle and Charles Castle both of Bonham, Texas, Edgar Castle of Lubbock, Texas, Bryant Castle of Sherman, Texas, Elmer Castle of Desoto, Texas; seven sisters, Nell Edwards of Coffman, Texas, Daisy Collum, Gracie Lewis, Vera Wages, and Clois Smith, all of Bonham, Lois Stanley of LaDonia, Texas and Fannie Butler of Telephone, Texas; 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren._
