Funeral services for Jesse William “Bill” Ammons, 63, who died July 26 were held Tuesday July 28 in the First Baptist Church, Electra with Rev Joe Ainsworth officiating with Rev. Mike Gresham assisting. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park.

He had lived in Kamay since 1961 moving there from Tyler, Texas. He was a member of the Assembly of God and member of the V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Jo Ammons of Kamay; Two sons, Gary and David Ammons, both of Kamay, Texas; his mother, Cora Ammons of Littlefield, Texas; two brothers, Millard Ammons of Lake Charles, La. and Willard Ammons of Littlefield, Texas; two sisters, Fay Wilson of San Angelo, Texas and Marie Cole of Littlefield, Texas and two grandsons.

Pallbearers were John Routh, Gene Vickers, John Stewart, Earl Cravens, David Evans and Fritz Tennant._

Nellie Jo Ammons, 75, died Saturday, September 11, 1999 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 1999 from Dutton Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Aaron, pastor, First United Methodist Church, Holliday, Texas, officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Electra.

Mrs. Ammons was born December 30, 1923 in Wellington, Texas. She and J.W. Ammons were married November 17, 1951 in Lela, Texas. He preceded her in death July 22, 1987. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Holliday, Texas.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Ammons of Kamay, Texas and David Ammons of Kamay, Texas; one brother, Troy Lowry of Cedar Park, Texas; two grandsons, Curtis Ammons of Kamay, Texas and Daniel Ammons of Kamay, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Ammons, July 22, 1987; a sister Peggy Taylor, and a brother, J.F. Lowry.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation._
