William A. Asbill, 83, a long time resident of Electra, died Thursday, April 18, after suffering an apparent heart attack while visiting a son in Stinnett.
Born Feb. 5, 1882, in South Carolina, he was a retired department store manager in Electra. He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the First Methodist Church with Rev. Ira Thompson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Electra Memorial Park under direction of the James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Myrl Cabe of Iowa Park; five sons, Langford of Stinnett, Louis of Otis, Kansas, George of Fort Worth, Jack of Dumas and William A. Jr. of California; a brother, Tetson of Bishopville, S. C, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren._

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Langford Asbill, 85, who died Saturday morning in a local nursing home, were held at
2 p.m. Monday from the First Methodist Church of Electra.
Officiating was the Rev. Don Youngblood, pastor. Burial was in an Electra cemetery under direction of the James B. Totten and Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Asbill was born May 10, 1880, in Newberry, S. C, and had resided in the Electra area 44 years. She was a member of the First Church.
Survivors include her husband, William A. Asbill of Electra; four sons, Langford Asbill of Stinnett, Lewie Asbill of Otis, Kansas, George Asbill of Fort Worth, and Jack Asbill of Dumas; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Cabe of Iowa Park, two nephews and one niece of South Carolina._
