Robert William Barnett, 89, died Wednesday morning in a Dallas hospital after a long illness.

Arrangements were under the direction of James B. Totten & Son Funeral Home.

Born Jan. 22, 1886, in Throckmorton, Texas, he was a retired drilling contractor. Barnett had resided in Electra 49 years before moving to Graham, Texas four years ago. He was a member of First Christian Church at Electra and I.O.O.F. Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Troy Lavon of Los Angeles, and Glen of Cedar Hill, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Leta Higgins of Arizona, Mrs. Nina Bookout of Graham; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Willis, Mrs. Ora Erskine and Mrs. Mary Alice Latimer, all of Dallas; a brother, Jim of Denison, Texas; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren._

Funeral services for Ruth V. Barnett, 85, were held Friday, February 21 in the First Christian Church. Mrs. Barnett died February 19 in Graham, Texas.

Rev. Miles Graham, pastor of First Christian Church, officiated. Burial was in Electra memorial Park.

Born May 13, 1889 in Howe, Texas, she had lived in Graham for three years. Prior to moving to Graham, she had resided in Electra since 1922. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. of Graham; two sons, Troy Lavon of Los Angeles, California, and Glen of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Leta Higgins of Why, Arizona and Mrs. Lina Bookout of Graham; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Maxie of Ringgold, Texas, Mrs. May Hawkins of Ft. Worth, and Mrs. Fern Franks of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Jollie Myers of Glenrose, Texas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren._
