Funeral services for Thomas H. Barwise, 78, who died Sunday at his home in Electra, were conducted Tuesday in James B Totten & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merwin Turner, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park.
Mr Barwise was born Sept. 12, 1899 in Wichita Falls. He had resided in Electra for most of his life and was a retired farmer. He married the former Ruby Dudley in 1931 in Wichita Falls.
He was a member of a pioneer Wichita County family.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Walter Barwise of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Thomas H. Barwise III of Fort Worth; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Hardage of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Sam Barwise of Wichita Falls; three sisters Mrs. Josie Nicols and Miss Harriet Barwise, both of Wichita Falls and Mrs. Ann Peck of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild._

Final services for Ruby Bell Barwise, 75, who died Friday, June 12 in a Wichita Falls hospital, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in James B. Totten & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Lee, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of James B Totten & Son Funeral Home.
Born October 9, 1905 in Beaumont, Texas, she has been a resident of Electra for 50 years. She was married to Thomas H Barwise on May 8, 1931 in Wichita Falls. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Electra and a member of the Barwise Demonstration Club for over 50 years.
Survivors include: two sons, Walter Barwise of Fredericksburg, and Tommy H. Barwise III of Fort Worth; one daughter, Patricia Ann Hardage of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Dale Dudley of Chehalis, Wash.; and eight grandchildren._
