Funeral services for B.J. Bibby, 82, who died May 28, 1987 at his home were held Monday June 1, 1987 at 2 p.m. from Totten-Day Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gaylord Brown, officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park under direction of Totten-Day Funeral Home.

He had lived in Electra since 1930 and was a member of First Assemble of God Church in Electra. He sang with Texoma Quartet on Radio in Wichita Falls in the early 1950's.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Bibby of Electra; One daughter, Ann Smith of Iowa Park; Two brothers, Gene Bibby of DeLeon, Texas and J.C. Bibby of New Caney, Texas; Six sisters Venita Hammon of DeLeon, Texas, Joy Ellen Heath of Hempstead, Texas, Ima Joy Baily of Cleburne, Texas, Modess Quckunbush of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Ellen Tilley of Thrall, Texas, Hazell Burryhill of Jackson, Mississippi.

Surviving also are two grandchildren._

Mrs. Laura Bernice (Crain) Bibby, 88, died November 14, 1998 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 1998 from Dutton Funeral Home Chapel, Electra with Rev. Gaylord Brown, pastor First Assembly of God, Malakoff, Texas, officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bibby was born July 23, 1910 in Rotan, Texas. She and Bascom Bibby were married April 21, 1928 in Glenrose, Texas. She taught piano and music in Electra for many years as a private teacher. She and her husband sang with Economy Quartet from early 1030's. She was schooled in music in the Stamps/Baxter School of Music in Dallas, Texas. She trained under V.O. Stamps and W.W. Combs and Ernest Pippetoe.

Survivors include one daughter, Annie Smith of Iowa Park, Texas; two grandchildren, Rebekah Studdard and Kevin Smith, both of Iowa Park, Texas; three great grandchildren and one sister in law, Laura Brownlee of Electra._
