Funeral services for Irene Byrum, 79, were held Thursday March 8 at 2 p.m. from Totten-Day Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Billy Burke, officiating. Interment was in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Totten-Day Funeral Home. She died March 7 in Electra Nursing Home.
She was born April 3, 1910 in Van Alstyne, Texas to Oscar and Barbara Ballard.
She and Edgar T. Ballard were married August 17, 1927 in Wichita Falls. She had lived in Electra most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar T. Byrum of Electra; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Phil Holman, Jelly Sefick, Cleo Cooper, E.E. Howarton, Alton Holbrook and Bill Graves._
