Liberty City ~ Services for Rodney Louis Guess, 74, of Liberty City, Texas, will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, Texas with Windell Eaves and Charlie Mueller officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

Rodney was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Robert and Clista Perkins Guess on December 15, 1939. He served his country in the Air Force and worked as a truck driver. He was married to Ray Nell Guess until her death in August of 2006.

Rodney is survived by his sons: Roger Guess of Tennessee Colony, Texas, Windell Eaves of Big Sandy, Texas, Charlie Mueller of Finley, Oklahoma, John Mueller of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Buddy Mueller of Wichita Kansas; daughters: Lona Maxted of White Oak, Texas, Kelly Sharp of Knoxville, Tennessee and Dee Dee Eaves of Liberty City, Texas; brother, Terry Ward of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sisters Bettye Brown of Omaha, Texas, Sheila Godfrey of Hagansport, Texas as well as sixteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
