Gainsville, Texas-Services for Lonnie D Cloer, 44, of the Mountain Springs Community, Cooke county, will be at 1 p.m., Sunday in George J Carroll and Son chapel. Interment will be in New Hope cemetery. Cloer died Friday night in a Dallas hospital, following injuries suffered Wednesday when he fell from a ladder while working on a bridge construction job in Dallas. Survivors are his wife, four sons and two daughters, his stepfather and mother, two brothers including Vigil Cloer of Shawnee and two sisters including Mrs Lorine Robinson of Durant.

COLLINSVILLE -- services for Velma Lorene Alexander Cloer Hite, 79, of Collinsville, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Clement-Keel Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Davis of First baptist Church of Collinsville officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mrs. Hite died Feb. 8, 2000, at Community Medical Center.
She was born June 18, 1920, in Cooke County to Oscar [sic] "Bum" and Pearl Massey Alexander. On May 19, 1937, she married Lonnie B. Cloer in Cooke County. He preceded her in death in 1957. On Oct. 8, 1959, she married Albert Hite in Montague County. He preceded her in death in 1985. She lived her early years in Mountain Springs, before moving to Collinsville, where she had lived 33 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and worked in the church nursery for many years. She also worked at the Collinsville Nursing Home for several years.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and Donna Cloer of Gainesville, Jim and Ruth Cloer of Valley View, Lonnie and Connie Cloer of Irving and Bobby Cloer of Collinsville; step-son, Kenneth and Barbara Hite of Collinsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and James Ortez of Valley View, Perlene Cheshire of Collinsville, Kay and Tommy Denson of Collinsville; step-daughter, Rita Whaley of Collinsville; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude Smith of Nevada, Ozelle and Don Holly of Pilot Point, and Norma Alexander of Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alton "Dee" Alexander.
Pallbeares are grandsons.
