*Obituary
Elvis Edwin Farmer, 59, passed away Thursday, June 29, 1967 following a six weeks illness.
He was born Sept. 21, 1907 at Forestburg, Texas to E. E. and Lillie Farmer. He was married to Ida Caddell January 9, 1932 in Wheeler.
Mr. Farmer had lived in Wheeler since 1927 and was a member of the First Baptist Church and Wheeler Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Ida of Wheeler, one son Glenn of Lubbock, six brothers; Percy of Wheeler, Foy of Mobeetie, T.E. (Bill) of Borger, Paul of Borger, Clifford of Borger and Fred of Fritch; three sisters; Mrs. Ina Satterfield of Pampa, Mrs. Lois Johnson of Borger and Mrs. Oneta Murray of New Orleans and also four grandsons.
Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of Wheeler on Saturday, July 1, 1967 with Rev. M. B. Smith and Rev. Dale Cain officiating.
Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright-Denson Funeral Home.
Pall Bearers were Bill Owen, Bill Robertson, Thomas Helton, Buster Callan, Hiram Whitener and Dean Howard.
