Billy James (Bill) Smith, age 79, of Fouke, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Smith was born April 9, 1933, in Foreman, Arkansas and had lived in Fouke the past 40 years.
He was a member of the Jonesville Pentecostal Church and was a retired truck driver. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Sue Smith of Navarre, Florida and Billy and Krista Smith of Texarkana, Texas, two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeannie and Jack Weatherman of Drexel, Missouri, Beverly Roberts of Justin, Texas; two brothers, Charles Burkland and Johnny Burkland of Hooks, Texas, one sister, Ada Balmain of Hooks, Texas, twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Red Bayou Cemetery, New Boston, Texas.
