Obit:
Bobbie Townsend Rogers, of Simms, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at a local care facility. She was 88. Bobbie was born April 21, 1929, in Haskell, Texas to Truman and Deffie Townsend.
On September 27, 1949, she was married to Wesley Rogers in Big Springs, Texas. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, AJ Randall; a granddaughter, Toy Murphy; a grandson, Jim Bob Murphy; numerous siblings, and her husband, Wesley Rogers.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Danna and Steve Blount of Summit, New York; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kelley Rogers of Annapolis, Maryland and Bo and Lisa Rogers of Simms, Texas; four grandchildren, Lauren and Whitt Rogers, Scott Bryan and Shane Randall; two great grandchildren, Brock and Sam Bradshaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Carl Teel officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas.
