Charles L. Carpenter of Minneapolis, Minnesota, born 21 November 1933, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Monday, March 16, 2015 at Concord Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas. Interment will follow at the Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the Bates-Cooper-Sloan funeral home, Mount Pleasant, Texas. Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his two sons, Craig Carpenter and Colin Carpenter both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, James Milton Carpenter of Naples, Texas; a sister, Pauline Barfield of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Blanche Carpenter; his wife, Violet Cone Carpenter; and 8 brothers and sisters. (SoSec Row 2)

Violet M. Cone Carpenter, wife of Charles L. Carpenter, passed away in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Violet was born 27 April 1934 and passed away 3rd September 2006. She was cremated and brought from Minneapolis to be interred beside her husband Charles, March 16, 2015. She is survived by two sons, Craig Carpenter and Colin Carpenter, both of Minneapolis. Violet is a veteran of the United States Navy where she met her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents Irvin and Evelyn Cone. (SoSec N, Row 2, Lot 20)
