Our family's light was forever dimmed on December 11, 2016, as our precious Mee-Maw, Bonnie Bell Skipworth Boyd, passed away peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours.

She was born on October 28, 1916 to Elizabeth Parker Skipworth and Ausman Bonaparte Skipworth, and was preceded in death by seven siblings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Seth Elmer Boyd, in 2004, and by her daughter, Bonnie Ruth Boyd Christian, in 1990. She is survived by a grandson, Nathan Christian and wife Kim Christian, two great granddaughters, Jill Christian and Melanie Yoes and husband Joe Yoes, and several extended family members.

Bonnie was a longtime member of the Northside community who touched many lives during her century on this earth, and anyone who knew her can attest to her kind, giving heart and always positive spirit. To say she will be missed would be a vast understatement.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Fargo cemetery near her home, under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Tipton, OK, Children's Home, a cause she held dear. The family asks that those planning to attend the service wear red if possible in tribute to her favorite color and to reflect the spirit of the holiday season she so loved.
