Graveside services for Jimmy Fisher, age 79 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery, with Pastor Jase Waller officiating. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. All services are under the direction Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.

Jimmy Mack Fisher was born February 19, 1943 to Alfa Merle (Clark) and Johnny Preston Fisher in Lovington, New Mexico. Jimmy served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving mostly in Japan. He was stationed aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea, which operated as a unit in the Seventh Fleet, Western Pacific. He married Betty Lambert August 10, 1964 in Seminole and was married for over fifty years; together they owned and operated Jimmy's Carpet for over 30 years.

Jimmy loved to fish and hunt; he also enjoyed pulling pranks and socializing with everyone. He was a member of the Seminole Volunteer Fire Department for many years, serving as Fire Department Chief for part of those years. He was Christian and an avid sports fan. He loved his eight granddaughters dearly, and called them weekly to remind them how much they were loved.

Jimmy Fisher passed away at his residence in Seminole on Sunday, May 29, 2022. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 2015; one son, Jimmy Ron Fisher in 2015; and one sister, Fern Bingham in 2019.

Funeral services for Betty Lou Fisher, age 69, Of Seminole will be held Friday, September 11, 2015, at First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ned Nugent officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial and medical donations can be made to Betty Fisher's Medical Fund on Go Fund Me at http://www.gofundme.com/hv3axh54. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Betty Fisher was born in Seminole to Mildred (McMillian) and Flake Lambert on February 5, 1946. After her mother's death when Betty was only five, she was raised by her God-given mother, Nettie Lambert. She is the sixth daughter of nine children. She married her sweetheart, Jimmy Mack Fisher, on August 10, 1964, in Lovington, New Mexico, and she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Betty and Jimmy created and worked at Trinity Carpet for forty years in Seminole. Throughout her life, Betty maintained a sweet and tender demeanor that won the hearts of many. She couldn't be encountered with out seeing her gift of joy, shown through her constant smiles, laughter and positive nature. She had an immensely generous heart, and was known for her giving. She fell in love with everyone she met, and she inspired others by consistently leaning on her Lord for strength and hope, even until her last breath.

Betty Fisher was called home Monday, September 7, 2015, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She is preceded in death by her parents, her God-given mother, and one son, Ronnie Fisher.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Fisher of Seminole; two daughters, Rhonda Tabor and husband Rustin of Slaton, Riki Jones and husband Randy of Seminole; one daughter-in-law, Deanna Fisher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Ernest Lambert and wife Julie of San Angelo, Randall Lambert and wife Brenda of Snyder, Glen Lambert and wife Emma of Fayetteville, Arkansas, five sisters, Mary Faye Cocke of Powell, Tennessee, Colleen Wagner and husband Carl of Waldron, Arkansas, Aileen Hester of Seminole, Anita Goolsby of Seminole, Mary Meeks and husband Stan of Chillicothe and eight granddaughters who called her "Nana" and who thought the world of her: Keegan, Ronna, Lexi, Taylor, Morgan, Madison, McKayla, and Quinna.

Betty Fisher will be remembered by her smile, her warmth, her love for her family, her nurturing love and faith in others, and her unwavering love and trust in God.
