Dale Rodney Davis enlisted in the Army on December 4, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, during World War II. He was 27 years old.

When Dale Rodney Davis was born on September 27, 1916, his father, William, was 28 and his mother, Katie, was 26. He married Alice Jane Ferguson on October 15, 1938, in Vernon, Texas. They had two children during their marriage. He died on March 11, 1996, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 79.
