Irving, Texas -- Nancy Jane Rainwater, age 79, passed away on 4 February 2010 at home in Irving, Texas. Mrs. Rainwater will be interred at Wilbarger Memorial Park in Lockett, TX. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home in Irving.
Mrs. Rainwater was born in Lubbock, Texas on 14 September 1930 to parents Joe S. McIlhaney, Sr. and Opal Goodrich McIlhaney. She attended Texas Tech and worked as a secretary for her father's creamery business prior to her marriage.
She married Clois Miles Rainwater (now deceased) on 1 October 1949 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a wife and homemaker, and the mother of five children, who survive her. They are William Randy Rainwater of Dallas, Linda Davis of McKinney, R. Steven Rainwater and Vicki Floyd of Irving, and Kelly Kovar of Ennis. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
A long-time member of the Southern Baptist church, Mrs. Rainwater was also a Bible Study Fellowship discussion leader for many years.
