Sibyl Faye Jones Bailey, 95 of Vernon, Texas died on Thursday, February 22, 2018, in Vernon, Texas.
Service will be Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sullivan funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jim Antwine Officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Sibyl was born Sunday, October 29, 1922 in Wilbarger County, Texas; she was the daughter of the late John W. Jones, II and the late Margaret Keylon Jones. She married Carl H. Bailey on October 9, 1942 in Frederick, Ok. he preceded her in death May of 1967. She had been a resident of Vernon all of her life. She retired from Vernon State Hospital. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Kelly D. Bailey of Danbury, TX, daughter, Carol Halencak of Vernon, TX, sister, Jonny Johnson of Ozona, TX. four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be 10:00 am till 11:00 am Monday at Sullivan Funeral Home.

When Carl Bailey was born on August 23, 1896, in Collin, Texas, his father, Joseph, was 28 and his mother, Minnie, was 18. He married Carrie Ethel Dewberry in 1928 in Texas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on May 28, 1967, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 70.
