OBITUARY
Herman G. MEIER, aged 69, of rural Darrouzett, died Saturday in the Beaver County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. MEIER was born on September 19, 1912 in Gage, Oklahoma. He was married to Emma MELLER in Follett on July 30, 1939. The couple moved to Darrouzett area in 1948 where he was a farmer and rancher.
Mr. MEIER was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Darrouzett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Perry Sloop, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Clark’s Funeral Service of Beaver.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; four sons, Charlie of Jacksboro, Tommie of Logan, Oklahoma, Herman Duane and R. J. both of Elmwood, Oklahoma; a brother, Alex MEIER of Perryton; two sisters, Mrs. Marie SCHOENHALS of Darrouzett and Mrs. Hannah EHRLICH of Shattuck; and one grandchild.
