DARROUZETT - Emily Meier, 95, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, in Canadian.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Phil Vickers officiating. Burial will be in Darrouzett Cemetery by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.
Mrs. Meier was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Shattuck, Okla., to Theabolt and Mollie Kisson Kirshman. She married Reinhard Meier on Dec. 14, 1930, near Follett.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Moore of Colorado City and LaVerta Schafer of Canadian; two sisters, Marie Estes of Salina, Kan., and Rosie Carter of Sulphur, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch St., Canadian, TX 79014; or Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. Fourth St., Canadian, TX 79014.
