SERVICES HELD SUNDAY AT LIBERTY CHURCH FOR GEORGE MALONE
George Washington Malone, 78, of Cameron died at 8:25 Saturday morning in St. Edward Hospital, following a fall Thursday which broke several ribs and his hip.
Malone was born in Nashville, Tennessee October 30, 1874. He came to Milam County as a small child and has lived here ever since. He moved to Cameron from Liberty in 1942 following the death of his wife, Allie. He was a farmer in that community until the time of his death.
Funeral services were scheduled for 5 p. m. Sunday from the Liberty Church. Rev. Aubrey F. Russell, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Cameron officiated and arrangements were made by Green Funeral Tome. Interment was made in the Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors are: five sons, Eric, Walter and Odie, all of Cameron; Wesley of Liberty and Elmer of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Alvin Black and Mrs. Cass Walden of Houston, Mrs. Homer Shafer of Humble and Mrs. Wright Price and Mrs. Bob Kirk of Cameron; 44 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
