MALONE
George Walker Malone, 77, lifelong resident of Cameron, died early Tuesday morning in a local hospital following a long illness. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral service was held at 3 p. m. Wednesday in the chapel of Green Funeral Home in Cameron, the Rev. Stanley Vodicka officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Surviving him are his wife. Mrs. George Malone of Cameron; three sons, James Hardy Malone of Crosby, George Wesley Malone of Minerva, and Walter Kirk Malone of Cameron; eight daughters, Mrs. Jane Young, Mrs. Cleo Derrett, Mrs. Peggy Tucker all of Baytown, Mrs. Dorothy Shoaf of Liberty, Mrs. Cell Ciriello of Temple, Mrs. Johnnie White, Mrs. Mazie McLerran and Mrs. Frances Dodson, all of Cameron; four brothers, Elmer, Eric, Wesley and Odie Malone, all of Cameron; five sisters, Mrs. Vera Black of Houston, Mrs. Onera Shaffer of Humble, Mrs. Floyd Walden of Whitesboro, Mrs. Mazie Price and Mrs. Annie Kirk, both of Cameron; 30 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Green Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
