BENNIE V. HEITMANN, EX-MILAM CITIZEN VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK HERE MONDAY
Bennie V. Heitmann, 36, of Houston died at the St. Edward Hospital Monday morning around 10:30.
Mr. Heitmann suffered a heart attack at the home of Arthur Belt in the Hoyte Community. He had been visiting in the Belt home for several days. He married the former Mary Jo Belt.
Mr. Heitmann, a native of Milam County was born and reared in the Hoyte Community and was well known in Cameron and the surrounding areas. He had been living in Houston for the past eight years where he was employed as an engineer by the Shell Oil Company. He attended high school in Cameron. He attended high school in Cameron. After completing his high school education, he became a member of the Houston Fire Department and was employed as a fireman several years prior to his work with the Shell Oil Company. He was a brother of Bill Heitmann and Lee Heitmann of Cameron.
Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Green's Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 31, at 3 P. M. with Dr. Mark Magers officiating.
Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery with Green's Funeral Home directing the arrangements.
Surviving are hie widow, Mary Jo Heitmann, three sons, Benny Gary, Michael Larry and Gregory Allan Heitmann; five brothers, Bill Heitmann and Lee Heitmann of Cameron, Henry Heitmann of Houston, Ed Heitmann of Fort Loramie, Ohio and Joe Heitmann of Maricaibo, Venezuela; four sisters, Mrs. G. C. Beckhusen of Cameron, Mrs. W. S. Underwood of Gause, Mrs. R. A. Allison of Buckholts, Mrs. Ruth Randalls of San Francisco, California. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
