February 11, 1857, Ohio - March 15, 1928, Cameron, Milam County, Texas
J. L. HEITMANN
John L. Heitmann, pioneer citizen of Milam county, aged 71 years, died at the family residence near Hoyte Thursday March 15, 1928 at three p. m. Death resulted from an attack of pneumonia. He had been ill for some weeks as a result of flu attack and the relapse was fatal, as his condition was rendered more critical from the beginning.
The passing of this pioneer brings sorrow to the hearts of many. He leaves a widow and a number of children.
Funeral services for the pioneer were held at the Marek Catholic cemetery Saturday, March 17, 1927 at four o'clock p. m., Rev. Father Apel conducting the services. Interment was made in the catholic cemetery. The following were pall bearers Frank Eichinger, Joe Garick, F. Hanel, Sr., Henry Krull, Henry Schattle Chas. Matsek and Louis Faichtinger.
The funeral was held under the direction of Green Bros. of Cameron.
