COLORADO CITY ~~ Poley P McGee, 79, a resident of Colorado City for 47 years died at 11 p.m. Friday night in the Root Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Austin Street Church of Christ, with Gary Dennis, minister officiating. Burial will be at Dunn Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
Born October 4, 1897 in Sterling County, McGee married Lily Hamlin in Midland on June 30, 1929. A retired cattle buyer, McGee was a member of the Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. W.L. Turner of Midland; two sons, Lane McGee of Merkel and Larry McGee of Odessa; two sisters, Mrs. N.O. Brown of Colorado City and Mrs. M.R. Braswell of Odessa; one brother, H.A. "Bill" McGee of Colorado City; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
