TWO CAMERON BUSINESS MEN JOIN NAVY; LEAVE CITY ON SUNDAY
Two Cameron business men have left the city for service in the United States Navy. They are Gordon Baskin and W. T. Whatley, Jr.
They left Cameron Sunday morning for Houston where they are reporting to the naval recruiting station.
Mr. Baskin was a member of the firm of Camp-Baskin, Insurance; and Mr. Whatley was associated with his father in the grocery business here.
Mr. Baskin was was an active member of the Rosary Club and Mr. Whatley an active member of the Lions Club. Both will be held in grateful remembrance for their activities and friends here and elsewhere will wish them a safe return to Cameron.
Both men volunteered Mr. Baskin it was understood, will retain his interest in the Fire Insurance Agency here.
