Onna Mae Brawley, 87, of Amarillo died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Connie Freriks and Dale Bingham officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Onna was born July 26, 1926, in Haman County, Okla., to Elmer L. and Nannie Lou Cates McElroy. She married Gaenell Brawley on July 27, 1942, in Duke, Okla. At the time of her death, she was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church in Amarillo, but regularly attended Cowboy Church at The Craig Retirement Community, where she was a resident.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Velma Ely, Mary Carnell and Ruth Paulk; a brother, Jerry Wayne McElroy; and a great-granddaughter, Macklin Kae Graves.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Brown and husband Kenneth of Friendswood, Jeannie Jones and husband Gary of Frisco, Susie Graves and husband Mark of Stinnett; a son, Danny Brawley and wife Kim of Borger; a sister, Jean Brown of Tualatin, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Serving as her pallbearers will be her seven grandsons, Alan Jones, Mark Jones, Greg Jones, Nathan Graves, Aron Graves, Doug Brown and Cade Brawley.

The family wishes to express its deep appreciation and gratitude to Alice and Ramon Gutierrez of Amarillo for the loving and compassionate home health care they provided.

The family will be at 511 S. Wilhelm Ave. in Stinnett and 212 Loma Linda Lane in Borger.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Feed the Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101, or www.feedthechildren.org.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
