WACO - Thelma L. Edwards, 88, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1996 at the Robinson Nursing and Development Center.
Memorial services were at 11:30 a.m. today at the Conley-Compton West Funeral Chapel in Waco.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stinnett Sunset Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor First Baptist Church of Borger, officiating.
Local arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Edwards was born in South Bosque, Waco, on Aug. 30, 1907. She lived on the Gulf-Dial Lease, Stinnett, and in Borger for more than 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Borger, a volunteer with the National Alzheimer's Association, and a member of Hutchinson County Extension Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Edwards in 1976; a sister, Morgan in 1987; a brother, Martin Luther in 1992; and a sister, Annix Williams in 1994.
Survivors include a brother, J.W. Merritt of Waco; two nephews including Jerry Morgan of Borger; and two nieces including Judy Hart of Borger.
