Obituary for James
Funeral services for James Garfield Edwards, 73, of 517 Green, who died Thursday at North Plains Hospital, are set for 2 p.m. Monday in Bethel Baptist Church.
The Rev. J.H. Blakemore, pastor, will officiate. Masonic graveside rites will be by Bethel Masonic Lodge 449 and by local and Amarillo Masons and Shriners at Westlawn Memorial Park. Burial is by Minton Mortuary.
Edwards had been a resident of Borger for 25 years and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth; a sister, Mrs. Corine Cole of Brady; and an aunt, Mrs. Georgia Ann Thomas of Giddings, Tex.

BORGER - Ruth Edwards, 89, died Friday, May 9, 2003, in Panhandle.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. C.E. Douglas, pastor, and the Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Amarillo. She was known as "Cork."
Survivors include a sister, Zona Coffer, of Borger.
