MRS. EMILIE ABEL, 80 SUCCUMBS SUNDAY BURIAL IN BUCKHOLTS
Funeral services were held 4 p. m. Tuesday at the Hope Lutheran Church, Buckholts, for Mrs. Emilie Able, 80, who died at her home in Buckholts Sunday night.
Rev. John Pietsch officiated at the services with burial in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Abel, a native of Germany, had lived in Buckholts for the past 49 years.
Survivors are five sons, Gus Abel, Buckholts; Emil Abel, Brenham; Henry Abel, Pasadena; Albert Abel, Buckholts; Adolph Abel, Temple; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Kurtz, Cameron; and Mrs. Sam Miller, Houston; one brother, Willie Newman of Taylor; 16 grand children and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grand-sons.
Marek-Burns Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
