STINNETT - Nov. 12 - Mrs. Annie J. Christian, resident of Hutchinson County since 1903 and widow of Will S. Christian, Hutchinson County sheriff, died at 5 a.m. today at her home in Stinnett.
Mrs. Christian was born in 1859. She was about 83. Miss Annie J. Pietzsch was married Jan. 15, 1899, to Mr. Christian in Silverton.
She and her husband went to Hansford County and filed on a homestead there in 1901, and in 1903 they moved to Plemons and lived until the county seat was moved to Stinnett. Her husband was Hutchinson County sheriff for 10 years while they lived at Plemons.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church in Stinnett with the pastor, the Rev. Olin Butler, officiating.
Burial will be in the Lied [sic] Cemetery north of Stinnett under the direction of the Minton Funeral Home of Borger.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Goodwin and Mrs. Bea Turner, both of Stinnett, and Mrs. Billie Gilliam of Dallas; five sons, Walter, Robert S. (Buster), Paul and Roy, all of Stinnett; and Lester Christian of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Bob Stevenson of Silverton and another sister: a brother, Otto Pietzsch of Amarillo; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
